so there is a guy at work that insists that i should ‘talk american’. every time i use an australian word or phrase he ‘corrects’ me. being the stubborn girl that i am i refuse. of course he like the insults and will attempt to say them in an australian accent which just comes out sounding like a bad english accent. here’s a small sample….

fanny = a girls bits (south of the boobs )

chemist = drug store

loo= restroom

pub = bar

holiday = vacation

anti-clockwise = counter-clockwise

nob = dickhead

wanker = jerk

to wank = to jerk off

telly = tv

tap = faucet
